A bit of background
Owen Maggs was born in St. Johns, Newfoundland. The son of filmmakers, he has been around the film industry since he was young, and began acting at 6. Having grown up working in and around the entertainment industry, he is very passionate about film and theatre as well as music. The arts scenes of Newfoundland are the inspiration that first pushed Maggs to pursue music. Later moving to Toronto, Maggs has been professionally represented as an actor since 2014. He is represented by Nick Saites at OAZ. He has featured in several Canadian series and just played a principal role in Joel Stewart's 2024 feature, Soul's Road. He has directed and staged two plays, one of which he wrote.
